Run for the Roses cocktail

I'm one of the biggest fans ever of The Triple Crown. The pageantry and elegance as well as a solid excuse to be outside and have a cold cocktail in your hand is just too inviting for me. It really blows chunks that I haven't been to a single one of them in-person, they need to give me some blogger trip or something.

As The Kentucky Derby approaches us on May 5 to kick off the season, Grey Goose has come out with a drink built specifically for the most exciting two minutes in sports.

Run For The Roses Cocktail
3 Parts GREY GOOSE L'Orange Vodka
2 Parts peach brandy
2 Parts southern sweet iced tea
2 Parts fresh lime juice
2 Rose petals for Garnish
Chambord for floating
Add first four ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted and beaded with
sweat. Strain into two rocks glasses filled with crushed ice; pour Chambord
so that it floats on the top of the drink. Garnish drink with rose petals.

Makes two cocktails.

I don't see this replacing the Mint Julep as traditional drink, but it is refreshing and unique.
