Saturday Night Fever: Fever-Tree Premium Mixers

"That's not a baby, that's a Mr. Potato Head!"
Listen, 90% of most drinks is some sort of mixer, so if you're drinking the good stuff when it comes to the alcohol, then why not make sure you have the good stuff when it comes to the mixers?

Fever-Tree is founded by Charles Rolls, the guy who brought Plymouth Gin back from the dead and contains only the finest of the finest. The flavors come in Indian Tonic Water, Club Soda, Ginger Ale, and Bitter Lemon. I got all of them but the Club Soda, which is fine because I never wanted their stupid Club Soda anyway. Jerks.

"Oh, my. Now, how did that happen? There must be a ghost in here."
I've had the Tonic Water at Bourbon and Branch in San Francisco, as well as the Bitter Lemon, but the one I've never had occasion to delight myself upon is the ginger ale, so I thought I'd go after it.

All of the bottles come in perfect little 6oz size and are clear so you can see that the goods are legit. When I opened the ginger ale to pour it in to the glass it gave off a nice, clean scent. As I poured it bubbled up faster than any Canada Dry I've ever had. If stewardesses had to pour this stuff it'd take a long time, but at the same time, this stuff is so good that you could build an airline around just pouring it as your free drink (but still charge $3 for some headsets).

Oops, I let the cat out of the bag. I told you I loved it already. Well, I did. This stuff was perfect on my tongue and it taught me what ginger tastes like and what ginger ale is supposed to taste like. It did not have the syrupy sweetness or funky aftertaste of most ginger ale's and felt smooth as I swallowed it.

If you're one of those that drink your whisky with ginger ale, then you're not going to find a better companion. If you just want to try a new drink that will satisfy, then you're going top of the line with the Fever-Tree stuff. It's available all over England and someplace in NY. I'll let you know when it's all over the place because you'll need to go get it.
